" Love to me, is being with someone who cares deeply about being your partner throughout life. You both give your all to each other, give and take as fairly as possible.
And love is definetly a choice, might start as those butterflys in your stomach but later on those do fade from time to time, and then you have to choose to keep loving them. Especially through the hard times. Like having a child, or midlife crisis which happens to most of us lol "

" Love is two people giving without any thought of receiving. When both people do that, it's beautiful, heaven on earth. "

" love ultimately is a choice, unconditional love that is...

i can pretty much love anyone i please, as long as i choose to

true love is...

"i love him b/c he is my brother and i choose to"

"i love her b/c she is my wife and i choose to"

"i love him b/c he is my son and i choose to, no matter what happens or what he does"

=] "

" see i dont think love has to be mutual at all. i love lots of people some who dont like me at all. love i snt about recieving anything its about giving something, in my opinion.
its about being patient and kind and polite and caring, especially when it isnt recriprocated. its easy to love people who love us in return. its hard to love people who are unloving and unlovely, and they are the ones that need to be loved the most.

to me its like most things in life, you dont really have anything except what you give away. the more i love others the more love i have. what i give away is really the only things i will always really have. just my opinion. "

" There are different kinds of love, and maybe you're talking about the love of friendship or family. I think for a couple to be hotly intimate, there is an exchange of love. When one gives, gives and gives and doesn't receive, one's out-flows aren't matching one's in-flows, and one will be left empty and unfulfilled. Perhaps you have an unlimited capacity, but my love needs recharging. Good luck! "

" Yeah, it depends on the kind of love, I suppose. What is the relationship? Is it between a son and a mother, between friends, lovers, etc.? I personally have a really tough time truly loving anyone (without smidgeons of resentment creeping in, or intense bouts of frustration, or expectations of some sort) unless it is reciprocated in some form. Of course, there are also degrees of love. I can feel love for someone I don't even know, someone I see who perhaps I feel needs love...I can love them on a cosmic level...but if I were to get to know them and there were no exchange of that love, then I would become depleted. This is one of the big tests. To love unconditionally. Some can, some can't. Good reminder for me. "

" Love to me is a man who will go out of his way just to make you happy because he knows you are sad. Love sometimes is the little things and knowing that someone cares enough to spend time with you and loves to be with you and never seems to get bored talking or being with you. I'm still looking! "
