Does anyone know how someone becomes a lobbyist? Does it require a degree? I'm hoping someone here knows what steps to take to become one. I'm currently working to obtain my R.N. degree, and as a person who has had many medical problems, and seeing how bad the healthcare system really is, I am pondering the possibility of becoming an activist of sorts. Any information would be wonderful!

" I would start by writing the state government especially because a vote is going to made. So I would also write a letter the opposing candidate. Ask them this question. "

" I am considering doing something similar in Canada. I am not yet sure at what level I want to get involved. One thing is for sure, now that I finally have some pain management, I may be able to be of some use. I have time and a semi-decent brain. Good luck. "

" I have never heard of lobbyists having or needing degrees. But they do need to be passionate about their topic of, um, lobbyage, and knowledgeable about it, not to mention displaying pit-bull-like determination not to let go of the Senator's leg once you've got it in your teeth. "
