Does anyone know how someone becomes a lobbyist? Does it require a degree? I'm hoping someone here knows what steps to take to become one. I'm currently working to obtain my R.N. degree, and as a person who has had many medical problems, and seeing how bad the healthcare system really is, I am pondering the possibility of becoming an activist of sorts. Any information would be wonderful!

I have never heard of lobbyists having or needing degrees. But they do need to be passionate about their topic of, um, lobbyage, and knowledgeable about it, not to mention displaying pit-bull-like determination not to let go of the Senator's leg once you've got it in your teeth.
