i am 28 weeks pregnant and recently i noticed that a lump just below my jaw which i have had for years was growing. i went to see my gp. who refered me to a surgeon who took a biopsy and today it came back as being cancerous.
because i am 28 weeks pregnant he cant do the surgery at the usual hospital so once they find a suitable hospital which has the facilities for me and the baby if anything goes wrong i'll be having the surgery. my surgeon mr swan said this shouldnt take more then a week or so.
so far i've only told my mum and partner they both freaked out more i have. i am just wanting on advice on how to stay clam when the people around you are totally freaked.
thanks

" Hi Hungry:

Being 28 weeks pregnant must REALLY make just finding out hard.

I just found out yesterday that what I had thought was a 7 wk bout of tonsillitis is some form of cancer, will have a definitive answer next Wednesday.

So far my husband has told our youngest son (whose wife had thyroid cancer at 19...she is now 33) & I have told my brother & people I am close with at the BP Old Timers Support Group.

My problem is that I seem to be able to WRITE what is going on but cannot TELL people verbally...so have many I need to address but seem to be vapor locked in silence.

If I can add this to your post it would be appreciated & maybe we can both get the help we need.

HUGS & best wishes for your little one. "
