High-risk strains & intimacy/transmission

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this community and was wondering if anyone has personal experience with high-risk strains of HPV and transmission. There seems to be a lot of mixed information out there. I have read that the high-risk strains of HPV that can lead to cervical cancer in women most oftentimes don't affect men in the least. (Though, supposedly, it is at least theoretically possible for men to get penile cancer from a high-risk HPV strain.) I believe in full disclosure to any guys that I might be intimate with in the future even if this can't hurt them. But thinking ahead, wouldn't it be possible then for a guy to get the high-risk strain from me and then pass it on to another girl later in his life who could be harmed by it? That's troubling to me. It makes me feel like I have to be really really careful who I'm intimate with from now on, even though I don't have warts. I just couldn't imagine being partially responsible for giving this to another girl, even though it would be completely unintentionally, ya know? How do you guys deal with this? Any advice? That cuts down your partners to those that have high risk too ... or wait till it clears from your bodies okay it's not that bad when I say this..take it gently .. it can take 10 years to clear up. You would have to be with some one who assumes all responsibility for his virus in repect to future partners if after u. It would be very relieving to find some one like that. But I don't think that should be something for you to worry about. You do what u think is best. His/her actions after are not your problem as sad as it might be for that other person.
I want to make a website for hpvs or any others.

Hi Oceans,
Thanks for your reply here. It makes me feel a little bit better. And as far as the website goes, YES! Please please do. I've been thinking about creating one myself merely because good, accurate information is so important and hard-to-come-by and the support of knowing that others are out there is invaluable. Maybe we could collaborate if you're interested. Thanks again!

I was also wondering the same thing... I tried to research it on the internet but never really found anything. I chose to keep being intimate w/ my boyfriend just because I wasn't going to let this stop me from being with him. It seems like it would be okay since you already have the virus. I actually went to the doctor today and everything seemed okay.... I still have the hpv but he didn't say there was anything to worry about...just to watch it for the next couple of months. Good Luck*
