Can you actually get rid of this? I have high risk hpv with ascus and i already had the cryotherapy done after my colposcopy. I had my 2nd pap after that and I am waiting for the results I am soooooo terrified it will come back abnormal!! I know they do they're little treatments like freezing the cell or lazering them or whatever, but doesn't it eventually progress to cervical cancer?? I am so tired of staying up all night worying about this I am going to make myself sick!!. and yes I take vitamins now and have quit smoking. I thought if they caught cervical cancer early they could prevent it??!! what is the survival rate of a woman with high risk hpv?? Anyone know?? SO WORRIED.....

Now that you know about the high risk hpv and get regular paps there is probably no chance of cervical cancer. They will give you treatment if you start to get dysplasia. It also takes years before it would turn into cervical cancer.Just because you have hpv doesnt mean you will die or that you will get cancer. You just have to make sure you get your regular paps and you will be fine!
