I'm with you on that one! i get my colposcopy and biopsy on monday. my doctor said most women go in there expecting something in their heads, and then when its over they say 'oh, was that it?' (about the biopsy). from what i hear the colposcopy is nothin, just like a pap, just a bit more pressure... but ill give u my personal experience after monday!

I'm just scared about it, Just want everything to be over with. And I really would prefer to have the procedure done now to get it over instead of 11 days before my birthday. Happy birthday to me! Thank you though, let me know how it goes and what it feels like and what I can expect. My doctor told me a little pinch, but then again when she says slight pressure... its a lot of pressure.

i had mine a couple of weeks ago and because of how my uterus curves to the tailbone it was a little more uncomfortable for me then most woman. if your uterus doesnt curve you should only have that slight pinch. good luck. keep us updated. we are here for you.

Thank you! I don't believe that my uterus does curve back to my tailbone but I'm not sure. I'm starting to feel a lot better though. As far as the warts go, They have all pretty much cleared up and everything is starting to look very healthy and normal down there. So now I am hoping that when they do the colpo that everything is healthy there too. I have been doing my best to take multivitamins every day. I still need to quit smoking but I am getting better where that is concerned, I am eating healthier as well. Just trying to get everything to where it should be. Thank you for all of your help

Ok, this may sound ridiculous...but I actually enjoyed my colonoscopy. Maybe it's the fact that I'm a gay male, lol. Sorry for the humor. Seriously, it's a piece of cake. I have had 2 in the last 5 years. I had one when I was under, and one while I was awake and watched them remove 2 polyps on the screen. You are so relaxed for both. Honestly, the worst part is drinking the liquid before. If you can do that. It's smooth sailing. I am a huge baby when it comes to hospitals and IV's...trust me....this is SUCH a minor procedure you will have no problem!

Yea, but I have had a baby before and I hated having my dialation checked and I have a feeling this is going to be kind of similar. But I guess I will get over it. It needs to be done.

Colposocopy was strenuous - the work on the cervix made me nausaeus, and I was sweating like crazy. Fortunately, it is a fairly short procedure, so even if you do have pain, it will be temporary. Wishing you the best!!!!!!!
