I have both high risk and low risk forms of HPV. My doctor says I have mild dysplasia, and I'm still waiting on my biopsy results. What does all of this mean? I feel like I'm not getting practical information from my doctor. I know what I have can lead to cervical cancer, but she says all I can do is get checked every 6 months. I don't have warts, so is it true that there is nothing I can do? Any tips on how to improve my immune system to prevent cancer? I'm totally lost.

" Yes there is a lot you can do.
Go to your gyno and get a colpscopy done. There are treat options you can take in order to help lessen the dysplasia and hopefully reverse it. "

" there are about 80 strains of HPV-4 are believed to cause cervical cancer. I had carcinoma-in-situ (not-yet invasive cancer), had a colposcopy (they burn the bad crap out-fun!)...and will have to have paps every 6 months for the next 2 years.

What to do? Don't smoke. Don't have unprotected sex. Folate is found to have a benefit (eat lots of fruits and vegetables). Don't have a partner that smokes. "
