Hi all. I contracted HPV a long time ago and was treated for about 2 years. I had dysplasia and was also treated. I've had normal paps since, and no more outbreaks.
I've heard that HPV can come back when you are pregnant. I want to know...
How do I know I'm in remission?
If I am in remission, will the HPV show up when I'm pregnant?
I know HPV can be transmited to a child during birth, but if there is no outbreak can this be true?
I almost forget that I went through all of this because it has been so long. I know HPV never goes away, but how do I know which kind I have?

" it is possible that you will have another breakout during preg. I was always told after After you have your baby they do a pap. I have always had dysplasia on my 6 weeks post delivery pap and then when they would do it again in 6 months I would be normal again. My doc said it's cause when I was preg. the HPV was back cause carrying a baby is stressful and weakens your immune system. "
