Oral sex and HIV/AIDS

Hello

I am wondering what the chances are of contracting HIV through oral sex (male to male)?

My partner had a brief gay moment, just to experiment to see if he would enjoy being with a guy. The other guy went down on him first, and then my partner went down on him. My partner said that the other guy didn't ejaculate in his mouth and he didn't go down on the other guy for long, but my partner was having problems with his wisdom teeth at the time. What are the chances of a contract through this?

Thanks

PW

" "There are however, documented cases where HIV was transmitted orally..."

Really? Documented? Are you saying that they took two individuals who were HIV-, locked them them together in a laboratory room, observed them having oral sex, kept them there isolated for however long until they seroconverted? Hmmm. THAT might be documented.

Or

Did they rely on someone who approached them and said, "I had oral sex and now I am positive...I have never had any other type of sex in my life..."

How was this "documented?" Because I certainly would not take the latter as scientific proof to infection from oral means.

To rely on "testimony" from people who say they haven't done anything else to risk exposing them in traditional ways is dangerous to the scientific study of HIV or any disease. It is what leads to misconception.

There are people out there who are won't admit that they have had unprotected anal sex or sex with a prostitute for a variety of reasons (shame, guilt). Hell, look at all of our politicians who do it, are literally caught with their pants down and still deny that they have ever or are doing it.

I could certainly tell a doctor or CDC worker that I have never once been out of my house nor had any visitors, "you are the first human being I have ever seen in my life" and that my mother was HIV- and I just caught it by thinking about it. I certainly hope THAT wouldn't be added to the list of possible ways to become infected.

Sorry for the novella, just want to know what is meant by "documented." "

" I would love to see the documentation on the cases of orally transmitted hiv infection. Including the biographies of those concerned, both the transmitter patient, and the person newly infected, specifically all conditions and circumstances in their histories, known to cause false positives.
Ladies, y'all KNOW that pregnancy itself, is a very high on the list cause for false positive results, right?... (most statistics from africa are done in geneva, at the WHO headquarters, these stats are taken from the natal clinics of africa, and FROM THOSE NUMBERS, ESTIMATES ARE MADE FOR THE MAINSTREAM POPULATION. the aids stats in africa, contrary to assumption, are NOT simple counts of patient cases, simple counts of sickbeds, or coffins. It's all statistical work from the numbers taken from natal clinics.
If pregnancy itself is high on the list of things that can cause a false positive, does this not raise a question about HOW the UN got the wrong counts... the UN did indeed recently say they got the numbers of cases wrong by ten million or more.

More?

: )

So, if there are cases of oral transmission, people who got infected whose only exposure was oral, i'd like to know if they could have been false positives, from the seventy or so known reasons that cause false positives.

" i want to see the original study that proves that hiv causes aids. i do not want to hear a story about how they side-stepped, and did some other thing. i want the original data, the original study from the first scientist who said, WOW, BINGO, LOOK WHAT I FOUND.

this, in 26 years, i am still seeking.

where is the study, show me the study.
hiv = cause of aids= aids

i cant find it, deusberg and mullis and perth, whatever we think of them personally, CANNOT FIND IT, nobody can find it. they can put the whole issue to rest, show us the study.

they refer to it as the reference... please reference this data. who said it originally.

on a little side note, why dont we already know who this nobel prize candidate is? what is his or her name, why isnt he given all sorts of awards... ? "
