higher tsh

I was just wondering if there are others who have noticed feeling much better with a higher tsh level? For years my tsh was always low normal, even before I had Grave's. Once diagnosed, my endo seemed pleased with low tsh numbers, like .4 or .5 I know that's considered normal, but I never felt quite right. I'd have hyper symptoms, heart palpatations, nervousness, weight loss, etc. Now that it's in the 2. to 3. range, I feel MUCH better and more stable. Anyone else notice this?

" I am not sure but normally they go by the T4 and T3. I would ask your Endo. Mine is very low and I still feel hyperactive.

If you find out, please let me know. "

" TSH levels are low with hyperthyroidism. It is released from the pituatary gland in the brain in response to a LOW T3/T4, in order to stimulate the thyroid to produce more thyroid hormones. It is suppressed in the face of high T3/T4, so that it will not stimulate the thyroid to produce more. So, even if your T3/T4 are normal, if your TSH is still low, you still have Grave's as indicated by the low TSH.
I hope this helps.

" I should have mentioned that my t3 and t4 have always been pretty normal. So, my tsh is the greatest indicator of my symptoms in the past. "
