I’ve had Gout in my toes before but I have had problems with my elbow hurting badly. Has anyone ever heard of Gout in your elbow?

" I work with allot of folks with gout. You can certainly get gout in any joint or place in the body where there is friction. It's not usual in the elbow but not unheard of. "

" Gout strikes the lower extremedies most often but it can affect any joint in the body, sure. Your doctor can test for the presence of uric acid crystals in your elbow to see if this is the problem. It could just be a muscle strain, though. "

" I have Hyperuricemia and I have had gout attacks in all my toes, both ankles, both knees, both elbows, both wrists and just about all the joints in my hands and feet! It is unpleasent I know I have been trying to deal for 10 years now . No matter the joint, it is no fun!! "
