" My wife knew someone who had very high pressure that caused so much pain that they were going to remove his eyes. I tried to figure out a way (non-disclosure issues) to tell his family how treatable glaucoma is, WITHOUT medicine. "

" Yes, eye pain without trauma is a strong sign of a problem. That is what made me call my Opthalmologist 3 weeks after my annual checkup and not wait until a June recheck. The pressure in my right eye was 38 and had been 28 3 weeks earlier. Yesterday I needed laser surgery and after the surgery, the pressure was 37. Prior to the surgery the pressure was 21. The laser procedure may need to be done again next week when I go to get the other eye done. Do not take any chances with your eyes as the damage cannot be fixed. "

" There are natural cures for everything and glaucoma has to be one of the easiest. There is NO reason to use medicine or have laser surgery before at least trying the natural CURE. It costs about $50 at the grocery store. I would be glad to share the info. "

" This is an update. I have had 3 laser surgeries in the last 3 weeks to open the drainage system in both eyes. I had to have the right eye done 2x in the same week because it would not stay open but finally all is well and hopefully will stay that way. I had very bad pain in my right eye after I was in an accident and received a concussion. Prior to the accident, my levels were normal...hmmm. Without the laser treatment, I could have gone blind with an attack as it was triggering narrow angle glaucoma. Pay attention to your numbers! There are 2 types of glaucoma and the narrow is the quickest one to get you. No matter what you hear, read, eat or try, see your doctor at least annually and let your doctor be the one to tell you when you are in control or cured. "

" Good avise Happy... My wife pushed me to get my annual checkup last a month ago. The carrot juice is keeping me in the cured group. My pressures have remained normal for a year now and I have grown to like carrot juice mixed with orange juice as a healthy snack. Someone just suggested carrot/apple. I'll try that next week. "

" Yes. If you have eye pain, do not hesitate to see your Eye Specialist immediately. I had the same problem in March and since have had laser surgery twice in my right eye and once in my left and today went for a check up and am cleared of any problems for glaucoma..not even drops are needed. I won't go back until October. Do not play with eye pain. "
