I just wanted to introduce myself. My partner and I had 2 baby girls in October and are learning the parenting thing from scratch. I thought it would be a good idea to get some support here since we may face some additional challenges in raising our family, although I haven't run into any negativity yet!

" You go girls! Keep up the good work!

Advice? well I guess I'll tell you what I always tell anyone who is a parent: You only get one chance to form a life. So make the most of it!

And... don't listen to the people who say, "You think its hard now, just wait until their....". It isn't true. Every age has its good joys and challenges. Accept it for what it is and enjoy it! I love my teens but that isn't to say I didn't find great joy in their younger years too!

Just my 2cents worth "

" can't really disagree with Benjamin. Enjoy the milestones and realize that, for awhile, more focus will be on your infants and less on your relationship; that's an inevitable necessity but will change when you get the hang of things. Our son will be 2 in May. I'm so greatful to experience the love of a parent for a child; and vice versa.
Let me know if you need any tips. And Benjamin is right; don't listen to negativity. Enjoy your babies.
Gary "

" I am actually happy to hear you had the babies as they will grow up in loving home used to parents who love and care for them in the enviroment you have chosen. I am stuck in a place I feel trapped as i have a 7 and 9 yr old and an ex who will not except i am a lesbian, and want to continue my life that way as it has always been. We all have our long stories, but in the short he thinks I will destroy there life now. You have a great opportunity, congratulations, and take care of those precious ones. "
