Today is day 10 GF, and I started to get some impulses today being that it was my friends birthday and he wanted to go to the casino to test his luck. I felt that mind numbing sensation that blocks out everything that makes sense and focuses squarely on that atmosphere. Then, within a split second I came back to my sense, and I remember the online 7 day trophy I got and how great that little thing made me feel. It's funny how something that small can have a significant impact, but I am forever grateful for it. My goal was to be gamble free for 30 days and from there on one more month at a time until the months led into years and the years turn into a lifetime. Thank you Daily Strength!

" Fantastic that you resisted the urge. Our minds will always give us reasons to gamble - it's simple to go and also simple to stay away - there are many reasons NOT to gamble. Just remember your last day gambling - the guilt, resentment, self loathing- I remember and may I never forget. Just for today i will not gamble. "

" You are on the right path for your continued journey in recovery.I pray you grow stronger each day and that you replace those urges with other activities..To be strong and confidant and proud of your commitment to yourself and loved ones. That you want to be a better person for you and others. That you can never be that person of integrity, honesty and faithfullness with gambling.. My name is Terry K and I am a compulsive gambler ..6 1/2 months GF..Went diving with the love of my life in the pic there..Never would of thought I would be spending anytime with her since she left me over gambling..But as the days pass and she sees my sincerity and conviction..it is better..I pray for all my brothers and sisters in recovery...We are better people in recovery...God bless you all my friends...Terr K "
