I'm new to this group and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ashley, I'm 21 and was diagnosed with multiple food allergies about 7 months ago. It's a long list, but here it goes...wheat, dairy, corn, soy, eggs, yeast, bananas, cranberries, pears, pineapple, lemon, sesame, asparagus, avocado, cabbage, and cucumber. Luckily some are only moderate, but I still am being advised by my doctor to avoid them. It's been tough trying to find things to eat...I'm discovering foods I didn't even know existed. It's funny when I find something new I can eat...my friends make fun of me because I get so excited lol. I'm teamed up with a great naturopathic doctor and we're taking steps toward my recovery, but since my food allergies were undetected for such a long time, my body has taken a pretty hard beating. So, I'm not only dealing with the allergies, but some immune problems as well. Hope I can bounce back quick though! I'm here for support, but to also give it. I've done a lot of research and have some great recipes so let me know if you think I can help in any way! Thanks :)

" hey... your allergies fall in line with latex alergies (bananas and avocados)
and other allergies related to some things like hypothyroidism and the ADD/ADHD list to avoid (very simialar to many ailments).

The citrus fruits... can you eat them cooked? There is Oral Allergy Syndrome that is basically environmental allergies triggered by eating raw fruits and veggies. I have a full blown citrus allergy (I cant eat them raw or cooked). The citric acid gives me vertigo and i have to avoid dairy because that complicates the whole system in my inner ear and sinuses... just because of the nature of dairy toxins on the mornal body.

Welcome to the group!! "

" Hey, Ashley!

I was just diagnosed with multiple food allergies: Soy, Wheat, Corn, Eggs, Peanuts, and Sunflower Seeds. Since being diagnosed I have also had bad reactions to: Pistachios and Cherries. I am staying away from nuts altogether.

I would love to see your recipes.
