Howdy,
I am basically maintaining my weight long time (over a year and half) but I have lost motivation to exercising with toning for awhile... I thought if anyone is doing tae bo or Jillian Michaels dvds here that maybe you and I can help each other to do this regularly... especially to get me to motivate to do this soon! :) My thighs and bottoms although small need lots of toning up... make the skin tight and muscular looking again... I do mini trampoline regularly but it is not serious toning up kind... Happy weekend! Cinnamonie :) Posted on 06/13/08, 07:06 pm |

Along with a regular yoga practice I do Tae Bo and I think it is an excellent supplement to my exercise regime. I have many videos so I find if I rotate them then it is not difficult to motivate myself. Have you tried any of the Boot Camp videos which incorporate the strengthening bands? If not you should. I also have the amped series and many other videos. In the Boot Camp series there are videos that target lower body, abs, cardio etc. Tae Bo Extreme (not that extreme) incorporates a step and weights along with cardio. I actually have most of my muscle definition from doing a vigorous yoga practice, the bands only supplement by resistance training.
Tae Bo is great. I also use The Firm videos and when I'm not feeling so energetic but need a decent workout I use Denise Austin's videos. I also hike and cycle. I mix things up a LOT as that is helpful to me. My yoga practice is the thing that remains the same no matter what. I NEED it. Best to you.

I have to check out this firm stuff. I only have 2 Tae Bo Videos. I mean, they're still hard for me, but it does get boring doing the same one's every week.

OH yeah I have lots of taebo videos and dvds including the latest one on amped...I have tried strengthening bands etc... but my main problem is lack of motivation...so I thought it would be nice to have Taebo or JM or other exercise buddies here to help each other... next week I will be on vacation so....after that I should start to get back into exercise again regularly especially with toning up... I agree it is good idea to mix it up with different exercises..I do mini trampoline, walking and jumping rope but not regularly... I do housework and errands for living now... I have things going on in my life but I am trying hard to get back into exercises again... you do good job doing different things to keep in shape... :)

I love the Tae Bo Abs And Glutes Focus. I like the workout a lot, but I always end up yelling at the tv when Billy Blanks says you have one set...but he means 4! I've been slacking majorly for the last 6 months but really want to get back into it! My thighs need toning too... and that tape is great for the thigh area and butt too! My problem is sticking with it... so any help would be greatly appreciated :)
