I'm trying to get washboards abs by June. Does anyone have a good workout routine in mind? I'm currently using the ab lounge. Thanks in advance.

" I use Shiva Rea creative core abs(yoga). Lots of fun. If you want washboard abs its key that you lose fat. So do lots of cardio, eat healthy, and stick to a routine. Good Luck! "

" When I used it regularly, it did/does wonders for the abs. The thing is consistency and routine all while switching it up if you've done the same thing for a long while. key is to shock your abs into another routine.
I've been at it again...
I hit my ablounge for 500 total crunches:
100 traditional,
100 leg lifts,
100 overhead arms,
100 overhead arm w/leg lifts,
and 100 side crunches on both sides.
I do this at least 3-4 days per week and seeing almost immediate results in teh short time of using it again. ab lounge rocks! "

" In my limited experience, abs are limited by body fat vs. muscle in the abdominal area. I dropped 25 pounds and low and behold, I have abs. Not a ripped 6 pack yet, but all the obliques are there again with no gym time at all. Back now in the gym, I can bulk those babies back up and lose even more fat coverage. "

" I strongly recommend the RIPPED workout. I started using it and it is incredible. It is a total body workout and in each section it works your abs. If you go to www.rippedworkout.ca you can buy one of the dvds. Trust me, it's worth it! "

" If a product promises ripped abs by using their product and nothing else, it won't work. A lot of people cannot get the ripped abs that "paid models" have on the infomercials. As stated here lots of cardio is the key. Add weight to your ab routine to build the muscles, lots and lots of crunches or whatever will produce results but not as fast. Your abs are a muscle just like arms or legs and to build and tone them you add weight. This is only advise, but it worked/works for me. "

" Personally, I just like to to crunches and situps. Just remember that the biggest part of having abs is watching your fat intake and increasing the muscle mass of the abs. Good luck! "

" JTGPP: I've read and been taught by the trainer that you should never work the same muscle group more than twice a week.

The best way to develop abs is to try different techniques/exersizes, don't keep doing the same thing or you'll eventually plateau.

I echo what others have said, your abs will be more defined if you have very little fat. For women I think they can carry about 12% fat before the abs get covered and for men it's as low as 7% fat!!

Don't work your abs more than twice a week though, it's not the workout that develops the muscle, it's the repairing of muscle tissue the next day, so you have to give your muscles time to repair and build new tissue, any more than twice a week and it's a waste of time. "
