Has anyone heard of this sales program or tried doing it? My mom got into it recently and is very excited about it. She has been talking to me about getting into it with her. I'm not really a sales type person but it sounds easy and fun. My mom did a home show with my sister two days ago and my mom made $500 cash and my sister received $450 in free jewlery. There were only 5 people at the party. You try to get 10 at least. I'm going to host a party with my mom in two weeks. I'll see what it's about then. This sounds like a great way to make a little extra cash and to network/meet people. Anyone have any experience with this program?

No personal experience, but it's expensive to get started in, like $1000 last I checked into it.
Seems easier to get people to have parties...that's the key...once you're out of your circle of friends/family...you need to be able to survive on others to have parties. I sell Home & Garden Party, but found it difficult to find people to have parties after my circle of friends and family. There's good money in both. Home Parties are EASY and Good money. I actually started mine so I could get discount to decorate my house.

I just finished hosting my first Premier Show with my mom. She was the jewler and I was the host. It was a $1200 show so she made about $500-$600 cash and I get about that much in free jewlery. I will apply to be a jewler and then I will be the one to make the cash next time. Wow! I'm so excited. This is what I need. It actually will cost less than $400 to get started. The amount of jewlery you purchase to show at the parties is totally up to you. The more the better and that is why it can cost alot. However, I will start with little and build slowly because I don't have money like that.

I have been in direct sales for over five years and it can be a real roller coaster so be prepared for that! You are coming into the busy fall selling season though so take advantage of it by doing as many parties as possible. I sell designer handbags (not knockoffs!), wallets, jewelry, belts, silk scarves and luxury hair accessories for a company out of WA state. Our products are featured in magazines and worn by celebrities which people love. We have just over 200 consultants so far so it's a great opportunity to be with an up and coming company.
Good luck to you as direct selling can be a great business!! Keep us posted as to how things go!

Thanks Stella-
Any advice? I need to get a list of possible hostess for parties/shows. I don't want to over use friends/family. What should I do?

My advice for getting shows booked would be to first have your own open house and invite everyone you know and offer specials if they bring a friend (20% off of any one item, or a little gift). Then offer a great special just at that show for anyone who books a show. I always offer 50% off of any one item when someone books a show and encourage my new consultants to offer any two items at half price when they book at their introductory open house.
Another thing to do is to book a booth a local fairs, festivals and bazaars. This will get your product out there as well as your name. These events are not so much about how much you sell, but the contacts that you make. I am always happy to just break even at an event and then if I make more that is just icing on the cake!! Also, be sure to wear your jewelry all the time and to carry your contact info with you for when someone comments on your jewelry. If they compliment you be sure to let them know that you sell it and offer for them to host a party! Most of all, don't be shy about letting people know what you do...be proud!! I heard someone say one time that the most succesful people get the most rejection. If you only ask ten people to host a show for you and you get nine no's and one yes that is a lot less rejection than the person who has asked 100 people and has had 90 no's but has gotten 10 yesses!! Just keep asking, don't take it personally when they say no and someone will say yes eventually!!
