" I've done remarkably well by eliminating the foods I'm allergic and/or intolerant of, mostly junk and processed foods.

I take digestive enzymes to dissolve my uterine fibroids and have noticed that I'm able to eat a few servings of 'off-limit' foods a week if I'm very careful. I also take the amino acid L-glutamine as it helps with leaky gut syndrome where food particles pass through the intestine and cause allergic reactions such as a runny nose.

More than anything else, these days I focus on taking amino acids and herbs to help me sleep as that's my biggest problem. "

" I moderated a forum at a women's conference recently, and one of the speakers I introduced was an EFT practitioner. She had the audience go through a couple of simple exercises.

While I can't say I understand how it works, I do have some understanding of the principles behind it, as they are similar to acupuncture. I want to learn more about it. "

" I think "diet" depends on your underlying problems causing fibro. But I've found in general, a good diet, low in sugar, no bad fats, high in fruits and veggies, moderate amts. of protein help a lot. It's never been enough for me, though, and I take lots of supplements. I'm using two approaches right now. First is d-ribose and Enzymatic Energy Infusion and B vits. I tried stopping the Energy Infusion and my pain/fog levels jumped up to about a 5 over 6 days. I went back on it. This program uses very high doses of particular nutrients implicated in fibro. The second approach is from my naturopath and is custom to me. He uses very high quality whole food supplements because they contain not only individual nutrients, but the nutrient precursors to make sure the body correctly metabolizes them. He want's me to take both and feels I will not overdose on the fat soluable vits (ADEK) because of the way the different vits are formulated. This is expensive, but pretty effective. So my custom program has a lot of flax oil caps, glandulars, minerals, Withania and Boswellia. Of course, Calcium and Vit D.
I'm also working on getting my digestive tract back to normal (this caused my most recent, yr. long flair) with digestive enzymes, chlorophyll, okra pepsin, probiotic, etc. I just cannot stress enough the link between nutrition and fibro for me. Neither gastro nor GP picked it up nor responded to me when I told them my suspicions. That's why I went to naturopath with lots of knowledge about nutrition and other alternatives. "
