Has anyone tried trigger point therapy? It has been a Godsend for me. It is similar to accupressure, but the 'points' are different.
Go to the library or Amazon and other online book sites and see if you can get a copy of 'The Trigger Point Therapy workbook' by Clair Davies or 'Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain' by Devin Starlanyl or anything on 'Trigger Points' by Travell and Simons They are self-help therapy books for overcoming soft-tissue pain. I have fibromyalgia and these books have kept me functional when nothing else helped!!

" I do it all the time and it's made my life bearable. I use a two-headed percussion massager simply because I had it when I learned about it. It works wonderfully as it glides easily over my clothes and I can hold it for long periods of time without it bothering my arm.

The website for the book is triggerpointbook.com. I recommend it every chance I get. "

" Yes, it is helpful. I had a physical therapist teach my husband how to do the ones on my back that I can't reach. My husband can actually feel the knots much quicker than I can.

I recommend these two books! "
