I have heard claims that these choclates can cure FM. Any body tried them and do they help?

" I don't know about these chocolates, but mega doses of chocolate landed me in hospital with a gallstone attack! lol...didn't know anything was particularly wrong for a couple days...thought it was just "bad fibro" days. Now I make my own chocolate from scratch ...my fridge is always full of these round chocolate thingies that look like large bunny doo...few people say yes when I offer them some. But heck, all that chocolate, oatmeal, raisins and cranberries can't be bad. "

" its not the chocolate, but cocoa. chocolate has too many addition issues such as sugar (diabetics) and too much sugar means too many calories which equals weight gain. not to mention the gall issues. as far as a cure... sorry can't believe that one. may help one area. but not a sure all cure. total FMS treatment will address all the different areas that are affected. flavonoids and anti-oxyidants are good, but there is more to it.. " Yeah, I doubt it - I do my fair share of chocolate eating and my pain levels don't go down because of it. That one would be too good to be true. "

" hi there is a product that promotes health... Isadelight http://www.bestincometoday.com/ I have used some of the Isagenix products, did the 9 day program, lost 10 pounds, mostly water, but I did feel good, and didnt hurt on the fasting days, that I ordinarily would, havent tried the chocolate... so cant say how they are, also the products are expensive, naturally, most quick fix stuff is. :) "

" Thanks to all who have responded. I am trying one type of these that is available through a pyramid maketing plan and yes they are pretty expensive. They are Xocai (sp?) power bars. The lady a used to take paitning classes from says she has lost 40 lbs. and is off all her meds for FM. I have been eating them about 3 months, its hard to know if they help because I don't know if my pain would be worse without them (lol) but I am sure not going to stop with any meds yet!

PS You are correct Haz it is the extremely high concentration of Cocao in them that provides the anti-oxidants. "
