I never believed in it. I was afraid of it. finally, at my hubby's urging, I went and I tell you what... if I could afford to go every day I would!!! Not only does my pain decrease, but I feel better all over and I can't explain it. My chiro actually goes to HER chiro 2 or 3 times a week. In the beginning I went 2x, then every 4 or 5 days... Now I can go every 7 to 10 days and be fine. As for the money, my chiro accepts it, but my insurance doesn't cover it. She gives me a special rate that is even less than my co-pay would have been. I have heard a lot of chiros do that, as dealing w/insurance companies has headaches of its own! So, good luck! Keep us posted!

I know I get some relief seeing my chiropractor. I saw him 3 times a week for quite sometime, now I go when I need to and I am usual lucky to only have to go in once a week now.

I go about 1 to two times a month and find it to be very helpful. Mine also does acupunture which also seems to help my energy and pain levels.

I really love my chiro. I go in once a week, for adjustment and massage (he has 2 massage therapists on staff) and I *live* for my Wednesday afternoons!!
Try it and see what *you* think. But if you can afford it, I would go as often as you can. 2 - 3 times a week seems excessive to me, but I'm obviously not a professional, nor do I know your exact situation.
Hang in there, girl - I know what you mean about being in your own hell.

I've heard it can do wonders, and i think it does but be careful who is cracking you. The one i tried was very bad and actually sent me into a flare with ER 2 hours later and torodol galor...I've gone back to light yoga and reiki when i'm not layed up in bed. Blessed be and best of luck!

the reason we get releif from chrico visits is that they do soft tissue and muscle work and that relieves the pain. I have been going 2 a week since the dreaded day i found out that I had fibro.

I am not too sure I want someone cracking my bones. When I was much younger , I went to the chiro and it seemed that the pain would go away for a while but it always came back. I felt like I was in a revolving door. I have a herniated disk in my lower back and bone spurs in my neck. My Dr told me to never let a chiro do my back.
Ice works for me, I tried heat but that didn't help me. I am now taking Ultram for my back, it doesn't seem to be doing anything for me and even with my insurance it cost me 45.00 .
Hope you find relief soon.
