What a jerk? Lets protest at his office!!!!

I have always had women drs and she was hte first one that mentioned fibro to me.

I am sure they have fibro in other countries but called something else in their foreign language.

STUPID IGNORANT DR RUN RUN RUN AWAY find a dr that is intelligent enough to know fibro exist.

Do you have to have a referral? If not call and make the appt yourself. Get another dr to give you a referral or even the health nurse.

I saw a neurologist and a rheumy and they both ran different blood test, Even had an ANA.

You know what they call the person that graducated last in his medical school?

DOCTOR

Like I've said before....I think all docs should have to go through just a week of a major flare and they would be singing a different tune. A pipe dream, I know.....but as we educate more and more people the docs will have to eventually accept it as a valid illness.

I hope you win your fight. Have you gone back to you insurance councellor and asked them where you go from here?? There may be an alternative way to get around your bull headed doc.

Yes well, that's because there are doctors in those 'other countries' saying the same thing.

It's the elephant in the room no one wants to acknowledge... and doctors/skeptics will be able to keep saying it too until the elephant sits on them... then the silence will be deafening.

I really wish the physician could pull there heads out of..... Well you get the point. I am so tired of dealing with this fibro and then to have to deal with Dr. that are so unhelpful and just down right mean. Sure doesn't make it easier. But Fibromyalgia is getting more and more recognition and that is a great thing.

We just need to continue educating others.

omg.. that is terrible.. not a real illness. geez.. figures another misinformed doc.. mine is very up on fibro.. thank god.. ppl shouldnt have to go dr shopping.. hope you can find one hun. im sure your so frustrated.. dont ya wish they could feel what we do??? wow.. they would change thier minds in a quick hurry.. lots of hugs hun.. :)

what an asshole! i've had neurologists tell me FM isn't real and i felt like clubbing them over the head! would you like me to come over there and beat it into him?? cuz i will!!
well maybe you know the drill, but if the doc you get is an ignorant fool than fire him and get another. then keep doing so till you find the right one. it sucks but it's gotta be done in order for you to get the treatment you need. best of luck to you and let me know if you need me (a pissed off marine) on his ass!

You should tell that arse of a doctor that the federal government and board certified MDs, DOs and Rheumatologists recognize this syndrome and maybe he needs to go back to school! Exactly how old is this nut anyway? Hope you find someone soon who can help you. I wonder if you go to the arthritis foundation web site and email them if they might be able to steer you to a fibro friendly GP? Worth a shot...hugs jilly
