Hello all,
Has anyone ever had a flare up from a cortisone injection? I had an injection in my right wrist yesterday and today, I am having my worst flare yet and my face is all flush and starting to break out. what the ??? the injection was not due to fibro, but inflamation of a tendon in my wrist.
any advice would be great

thanks and gentle hugs to all

" It may be from the fibro and not the injection. It is hard to get an injection around any of those points in your body. My Dr uses a smaller gauge needle to give me a shot in and it help so much and puts a little lidocaine in with the shot, you might ask your Dr. to do that too, it does help.....So sorry for your pain, seems like pain is waiting for us everwhere.......Love.........Helen "

" i have not had that happen, but i have been told when my son needed a shot in his hand(not by my doc), that it could take 3 weeks for it to work. My doctor does put lidocaine, too, it does help. the injection site is always sore for days and days. sorry you are having trouble. it is so hard to feel good sometimes. hugs, gentle ones of course, kristin "

" Have you had cortisone before? I would be concerned about an allergic reaction. Perhaps you should call you doctor.
