Has anyone heard of the new drug approved by the FDA for Fibro? I wanna try it! Anyone on it yet?

" If its lyrica you are talking about.For me it was a no go.I was on it for over a month.All it did for me was make me dizzy all the time and tired and sick feeling.But other people have tried it and have had no problems.so every person is different.If you tolerate meds well you may not have a problems.I think they also are using it for seizures and miagraines.good luck..Tam68 "

A few months later, I was desparate so I started on a lower dose and gradually got up to the Maxium of Lyrica 300 mg twice a day. It is working extremely well for the pain and is also helping my concentration. I continue to get the fatigue... "

" Lyrica was approved 6/21/07 for us in treating fibro pain. It is actually an anti-seizure drug originally used for nerve pain from shingles, diabetes, and other nerve conditions. Milnacipran is actually being studied primarily as a drug to treat fibro. It has not yet received FDA approval in the U.S. It is a new class of anti-depressants called NSRI's.
