The Wonders of Acupuncture!

I had my 7th acupuncture treatment this afternoon and I feel great! It seems like I feel a little better after each treatment and the little flare that I had over the weekend wasn't as bad as some that I have had and didn't last nearly as long.

I felt so good after my treatment that I was able to get the walking shoes on and instead of my dogs now normal walk around the block, she got her former 40 minute walk around the neighborhood! And I wasn't gimping along, either...I was moving at a pretty good clip.

I was skeptical of acupuncture before I tried it, but was so desperate to find something that would help me feel better I decided to give it a try. Along with the supplements that i'm taking, I really believe acupuncture is helping.

" I gree with you Dolly. I have had more success with acupuncture than with physical therapy, trigger point injections, bio feedback or spinal injections. I went in yesterday with my right arm in a flare. She did her thing and I was 75% better by the time I left the office. I was 100% better by 5:00 that evening and that pain usually lasts several days. I'm so glad I tried it. "

" Man, I wish I could afford it!! Medicare doesn't cover it which I think is ridiculous. Maybe that will change. I sure wish I could get it done. My pain mgmt dr. who is a Neuronlogist does it and has great results with it. Keep on getting it if you can! "

" I won a gift certificate for one treatment at a fund-raiser silent auction, and I haven't used it because I'm afraid it WILL work and I don't have the money to continue the treatments. I'd rather not know what I'm missing than to find something that works that I can't have.

I do know people who have gotten good results with acupuncture, and some others who have had great results with a "dry needling" technique. "

" Hi dollydagger I am so glad it works for you I really want to have a go but it is so expensive here. However I have heard so many storys about it helping fellow fibro sufferers I may have to rob the bank down the road and have a go! "

" I'm another believer in acupuncture. It did more in a yr for me than all the pain clinics did in 15 yrs.

" I, too, absolutely LOVE acupuncture and would have it every day if I could afford it.

I'm having it to help my insomnia and it's really made a difference.

My insurance benefits are coming to an end so I got a book on acupressure I use between visits and it's been very helpful. For those that can't afford, look for a book on acupressure and you should be able to help yourself a lot. A good place to buy books is through Amazon's used booksellers.

My dog is having acupuncture for her back problems that's limited her ability to walk. You absolutely can't believe the difference it's made in her!! She no longer walks like Frankenstein although she still moves slowly. She has nerve damage in her back along with arthritis. "
