Has anyone ever tried Birkenstock and Birkis? I have 3 pair and they are the main shoes that I wear. I have been wearing them for sometime now and they really help my legs. Just curious if anyone else wears them.

I've been wearing birkenstocks since I was a teenager and I love them. They were actually in style where I grew up!
I also love my Teva Ventura Sandles. They have a nice supportive cork footbed and are cute, too.

I have a few pr. They do not hold my foot stable enough (very high arch that rolls in) nor put enough cushion under my foot. I like my Brooks WALKING shoe with a custom insole.

They're basically leather flip flops and they're great for hot weather.

Hi Teresa,
I haven't slipped into a pair of Birks yet. Been tempted to order off of QVC a few times over though. I was recently (this past year) been introduced to Zcoil shoes. www.zcoil.com and their shoes I have heard help with a ton of things. My mom was given a pair for Christmas. And her back is so bad. But she said that she can go all day in them as they balance out the body's frame naturally. They are a bit on the strange side with looks, but I've seen them out and about. I'm just now trying to pinch money out of the budget to find a way to afford them. They usually run about $150-$250. Has anyone heard of zcoil? Or Sprongs?

I haven't heard of either on of those. I would have to pinch alot of pennies to spend $150 on a pair of shoes. lol

Wonder...I owned a pair of ZCoil when I was working at the hospital. We had chairs with wheels and it was very easy to get the bases stuck underneath the chair and fall over. It feels awkward walking in them. I eventually quit wearing them. If you do get them just be very careful.

I had some birkenstocks when I was younger. These days when I actually go out I wear Crocs....I think they're ugly but so comfy.

Nope haven't tried those. I've been wearing Merrell clogs in various styles and colors for over a year now, and I can stand and walk more than I could in regular flats. I had to discontinue any form of dress shoe with heels a couple of years ago when I developed a neuroma (inflamed nerve) in my foot.
I was a real shoe lover - had them to match every outfit and then some - so it was hard for me to give up pretty shoes, but it has been good for my feet, and good for my pain.
