I have been living with my heating pad. I did a search last night and found biofreeze on several websites. Cheapest was ebay.

Anyone use biofreeze and does it really work?

What type of heating pads do u use and where do u purchase a good heating pad other than a store like walmart?

Is there anything similar to biofreeze that helps with the tight spots and spasms? i use icyhot and the bengay type patches u can buy at walmart?

Looking for anything that will work to help ease some of this pain i cant get rid of? none of my meds are touching my pain so i havent been taking any of my breakthru meds, they are not touching my pain to help relieve it.

Thank u

" Bio freeze foes work, be sure to wash your hands really good after you apply it. After a while I had a tolerance to it and ut didn't seem to working very well. Now I use joint gel roll on, it does help me with my pain and since it is in a roll on, I don't get any on my hands. "

" It works. One of my physical therapist turned me onto it! Good stuff! But yeah, be sure and wash your hands. I got the roll on and it is just so much easier to deal with.

Gentle hugs and healing prayers... "

" if you have a PT clinic you go to, they can give you samples of the biofreeze. i don't like icyhot, it hurts when i use it. the biofreeze is nice, but i'm not sure if i'm going to buy any or not. i'll decide once i use the rest of the samples i have.

i don't actually have a heating pad. i have socks filled with rice that i microwave. they work nicely for my neck, which is a hard spot to put a heating pad. "

" I use a regular old heating pad from WalMart. Moist heat penetrates deeper than dry heat. You can use a wet washcloth or some pads come with foam pieces to do wet. My old MT used alternating ice (first) because it goes deeper than heat. Then she massaged. Then heat. I don't like the patches. For a product like that I like Tei Fu massage lotion. It smells like BenGay, but it has something else in there that works better for me. I also have a Homedics Infra-Tech Ultra Deluxe Infarared Massager that I sometimes use. It works pretty deep, but I don't like it over the spine in the vibrate mode. "

" Love the BioFreeze roll-on for times when I can't use my oversize heating pad.
If you're having trouble with breakthrough pain, ask your doc about Lidoderm patches, those work great for me. "
