OT: Beware! Rant ahead!

Ok, so I'm on a rant right now! I went & picked up my oldest from school. Then I went to the store by myself w/the kids. I was pushing the stroller & my oldest was pushing the cart. She ran into the back of my legs numerous times because she was staring up at the ceiling decorations. I kept trying to gently remind her to watch where she was going.

I called my hubby while I was there cuz I wanted to go see xmas lights on friday, but he reminded me that we were going to his work's xmas party. Then he told me he might be running a little late tonight. That of course upset me because I have no adults to physically talk to face to face all friggin' day!!!

After I got off the phone w/him, I called my Mom in law. She sounded horrible. She's supposed to be watching the kids on Friday evening & doesn't know if she'll be able to now. If she can't we'll either have to stay home or try to find someone else on short notice.

After I got off the phone w/her I finished up my shopping(after several more bumps to the backs of my legs). I finally get home & see that the fence between the duplexes & my house is almost completely torn down. At that time, I was on the phone w/my hubby again letting him know about his mom. I about broke down in tears. One of the guys came over & told me they would be putting it back up tomorrow. Thank goodness for that. He said they would put our side up first because they know we have dogs. At least that was some good news. I had talked to my neighbors behind us that also share the fence a few months ago. They had been told that the fence might not even get put back up. I was afraid that's what was going to happen & we didn't even get a warning. Now I'm breathing a sigh of relief. Still kinda want to cry though.

" I am sorry you are having a rough time. Venting is what we do here, and it is your turn :) Things can get so overwhelming at times, can't they? Make some hot-cocoa and do nothing, or take some "me" time and do something you enjoy for whatever time you have.

" I forgot about how much carts hurt your shins. My kids used to do that too. Ouch. Well if MIL is sick you get your wish and get to go see the Christmas lights. It sounds like your pooped. Glad hubby made it home. Hugs, Keleee :) "

" I have plenty of those days, esp. of recent. Between the kids, my overload of work i have to complete here at home and my doc/meds situation i could cry at the drop of a hat. I dont cry, up until about a month ago.

Its ok to have these days, esp. when u have younger kids that rely on you so much. I think that is harder bcause you know you have to be there for them regardless how bad you feel.
I finally had to get a job when the kids were younger because when i did talk to a friend on the phone i found that i was talking to my friend over the phone just like i was talking to 1 or 2 year olds. lol
Now i dont have a choice but to work.
I hope your pain isnt too bad and now that its later your feeling better. "

" Unfortunately, my hubby said he either has to go to the party or he has to work so someone else can go. It sucks! They may have daycare available. He's going to check into that. "
