Okay, doctor's appt went great today.
I am getting tested for (can't read all the writing) but the main ones are TSH thyroid, antibodies, ASO, RA latex, glucose sugar, calcium levels, cancer, PTH and vitamin D levels. She's testing to make sure my liver and kidneys are functioning properly. I am also joining the weight loss support group here as extremely overweight. I told her that I can't lose the weight until I get a handle on the pain. Appt for massage therapy Mammogram (first one) pap scheduled (been 2 years) I forgot to get her to check my sore throat. Yes, and it is REALLY hard on your stomach. It is not something you can take for more than a few days, it is the old style antiinflammatory. It worked really well for me but gives you stomach ulcers in the long term so be very careful. You can try mobic or celebrex which don't affect the stomach and do the same job. Don't want to scare you but I hope this helps.

I stopped taking it when I learned NSAIDS can damage your kidneys. Besides, it did nothing for my fibro pain.

i've been on it for over a year now and i get top up shots in between, didnt know yu could only be on it a couple of days. I take omeprazole to protect my stomach, the shots are great but the tablets dont make a heck of alot of difference.

nessnz, that's what I thought but since that was the only thing she gave me, and the only drug I didn't research, I figured I'd at least try it. I think I'll see about switching to Celebrex.
Aberlaine, thanks. That's good to know. I think one of my tests is for kidneys but if not, I'll add it to my list. :) debs27, are these Voltaren shots? She didn't tell me about these. Thanks!

Just thought I'd put in there is a "Treatments" tab up on top of this page. You can research any drug and the results people have had with it. There are quite a few on Volaren. Hugs, Keleee :)
