" I've had this happen to me, in my case what has happened is that the backspace is interpreted as a "back" button. Ie. it takes you to the previous page. Sometimes you can get back what you typed by going forward. Other times you just can't get it back. After you've navigated away from the page, you're probably totally out of luck...

" If you're typing that much stuff in it's wise to save once in a while, just as you would with a word processing document. You can edit the entry as many times as you want - just save it from time to time and press "edit" to continue. "

" If you know you are going to write a lot it is best to do it in a word processing program and do all your editing there and save it after a couple of sentences..thne keep saving.. then when you are finished copy and paste it..and also print out a copy of it to have a hard copy of it in case you need to use that to retype it in.. I have lost many a documents from not saving.. then finally learned to do this and it is a safer way to type things that are large.. "
