I have had constant pain since childhood.
I would tell my mother and she would say I was a "Drama Queen" or she would tell me I was having growing pains.(Which I thought were real). I have been to countless DR.'s for blood test constantly saying I feel like I got the Flu but with out the major sinuses and soar throat. All I have is the major muscle and joint pain. The feeling if I get out of bed a limb or something might fall off or I might fall over because I'm so stiff I'm afraid I'll lose my balance. My family is no longer talking to me because I missed Thanksgiving and Christmas. They do not believe that I was as sick as I was and still am. I'm lost. I don't know what to do anymore. Most people see a rhumatologist sorry about the spelling. You might want to repost this to general topics you may get more replies. The advice area doesn't seem to get looked at as often. Welcome to DS.

There are docs that specialize in fibro. I didn't have very good luck. I waited months to get into see what was supposed to be the best fibro doc in the area. after 4 months of waiting. I went in and after an examination he said yep you have fibro. sorry there is no cure and I don't believe in in pain meds so you just have to deal with it. Then the kicker was he said lots of insurance don't like paying for people to see a rhumy cause there is nothing they can do so I should just see my primary. needless to say I didn't listen or go back. Now I see a pain management clinic.
I do know people that have good luck with their primary or rhumatologist. good luck hugs alesha
