I was born in Saudi Arabia.
My parents are American. We were there for my dad's work. They brought me back to the U.S. when I was a baby, just six weeks old. I don't have a copy of my birth certificate, neither do my parents. AND I was searching online about how to get a copy and since I was born abroad, I need the passport that was first used to enter the U.S for the first time, and Guess what? I don't have it and neither do my parents. HELP!?!?! I need a copy of my birth certificate in order to file for SSDI Posted on 07/17/08, 02:07 pm |

I bet there is some pc nerd or some scam place that could make you one, They can make fake birthcertificates for anyone and more.
They can even make fake credit cards, bank cards and scam the banks. Just google it and see what you can find. Are your parents still alive? If so maybe they can sign some legal document. If not print one off and KAPOW you have your birth certificate.

I would suggest contacting Immigration and/or the Saudi Embassy and explaining the issue. Personally, I wouldn't do anything fake because if they ever figure it out, you would have to pay back ALL the disability money plus interest plus run the risk of going to jail.
Do you drive? If so, how did you get your license? How did you get your Soc Sec card? There has to be legal documentation somewhere. Melody

I'm with tex - it's not worth what would happen if you got caught. In addition, I doubt if there are a lot of scammers making fake Saudi birth certificates, which is what you would have had.
Start with Homeland Security - Immigration has been folded in under that umbrella now. The Saudi Embassy is also a good suggestion, but they exist to help their people, not ours so not sure how interested they would be. I assume WE still have an Embassy in Saudi Arabia, so going through the State Department might also be a possibility. If you don't find answers in a short time, it would probably be worth hiring an attorney who specializes in immigration law to help you cut through the red tape. You might find such a person who would be willing to tell you where to go rather than take a lot of your $$$.

There's no way I'm going to get a fake one! I don't need a fake one because a REAL one exists, I just need a copy of it.
My parents brought me back from Saudi as a baby and "registered" me (not sure of the right term) in Minnesota where they were from, got me a Soc Security card. I do have a driver's license. I only needed my social security card to get it. I have NEVER needed a copy of my birth certificate UNTIL NOW. Why my parents don't have it.. I have no clue. They claim they gave that stuff to me, but WHEN...when the kicked me out of the house two weeks before my wedding and threw all my stuff out on the front porch in the rain????
