well i went to a neurolist yesterday for tingling and numbness in my legs and feet and upper buttocks. and he did all the test like my balance, rubbing somthing hard and soft up and down my legs etc... and said he finds nothing which is good. but the tingling and numbness are still there and when it is bad it sets my fibro off andi can't walk stand, sit. and it is driving me crazy. my family is suffering because of this i think they think it is all in my head.. my boyfriend says he hears me crying in my sleep, weird uhh.. my legs and feet hurt so much i can;t work trying to get ssi....The meds i am on are neurontin, cymbaltia, trazadone all three combo which makes me really out of it but sometime the pain is soo bad the meds don't even touch the pain.. but anyway if anyone has any suggestion it would be greatly appriecated..

" Did you have a catscan done? Did he take all the blood tests........which are more then one realizes.
Maybe you need an ultrasound done on your neck and spine or MRI.
Something is going on, I wouldnt stop until I found an answer.
My neurologist said, Never say its fibro until you have had all the test. "

" I agree with DDntn. It's to easy to blame everything on fibro. test should be done to rule other things out first. They may show it's something else that can be treated and you might get more relief. I also find I cry in my sleep, I'll wake up with tears streaming down my face and not know why. Good Luck Hope your feeling better. "

" So sorry - too bad he didnt do anything.
What did he say was CAUSING it then- WHY are you having this? A person just doent have numbness and tingling for no reason?

Sounds like, if making a guess... either a disk problem (low back) or Sciatica (which could be from a disk problem) or Sciatica caused by the "Piriformis" muscle in your Glutes - if it gets too "tight" it squeezes that Sciatic nerve that runs down your leg and causes the Symptoms. The muscle is a very deep -lateral rotator of the leg. If you think about the position of a Ballerina when they have their toes pointed out (sorry-I know there is a name for this position- but I never have done ballet-lol)
Chronic muscle problem for alot of past and present Ballerinas- of course that does NOT mean you have to be a ballerina-:) just one example- there are alot of positions that make this worse. Also, alot of people stand with one foot out and the other one straight.
Anyway... If you want - I can tell you more- Also maybe ask about disk involvement?
Good luck to you. "
