Okay...so my husband tells me the other day that maybe I could consider some different waxing techniques for my pubic hair...I don't wax now...don't really need to. He thinks it would add some "surprise" to our sex life. Does anyone have any suggestions in regard to this? Doesn't it get all prickly when it grows back in? How do I maintain the style? Where do I get the waxing done and how do I decide what style?
Thanks for the input girls! :) Posted on 07/23/08, 11:07 pm |

I shave as well. I just shave it off completly and when it grows back it does grow back all prickly. Before I use to get bumps and stuff from shaving but now I use Bikini Zone and I no longer get bumps and I'm no longer irritated afterwards.

I trim VERY short, it doesn't get picky when I use an electric shaver. I can't shave with a razor, beause if I don't keep it kept up every other day, it gets very itchy after a week.
With my electric, I don't get itchy.

I use a new razor only 3 times for that area only. I use a different one for my legs and pits. Using baby powder afterwards keeps the bumps away. I also use baby powder under my breasts so that I don't get prickly heat bumps.
Oh, and to keep the mustache at bay I've been using-don't laugh-a sweater shaver since I was a teenager. My mother uses one also. She laughed but saw how great it works with no bumps or thicker hair growing in. About every 3 days I use it.

Let your husband shave you making a heart shape or diamond or something fun like that.

sparrow9,
I use a seperate shaver for my pubic hair. And I use a new one just about everytime. The area down their is very sensitive. So I figure using a new razor everytime would help to stop the bumps and it has. The bumps can also be from if you have any ingrown hairs. If this is the case you should get a tweezer to pull out your ingrown hairs afterwards. If you can't do it yourself, you can ask your significant other to do it for you. My bf use to do it for me.

bikini waxing isn't that big of a deal, any reputable hair salon that does any other type of waxing will probably do it. And you can have as much or as little waxed off as you want. as far as i am concerned, it beats out shaving everytime!

i usually shave everything. i did a lot of research online for different tips and products to avoid ingrown hairs and such.
trim the area as much as possible. after, sit in a bathtub with warm water and let the area soften up. then generously apply shaving cream. work in small sections and if you are prone to ingrown hairs, go in the direction of the hair growth. when you're done, dry off and apply baby oil to prevent pimples and to keep it smooth. then use aloe vera to soothe the area. it takes a little time, but the results are WELL worth it. i have never felt that smooth and soft before
