Anxiety over missed period

I highly doubt I'm pregnant, I take birth control pills everyday at the same time, never missed one. I've been on Loestrin 24 since November so I think I'm pretty much adjusted. I've never missed a period in the nearly 10 years I've had it. I just want to know can all the stuff in my life be causing the miss (in my mind and people I've talked to all say Yes but I guess I just want unbiased reassurance). First I had some spotting and slight breakthrough bleeding a few days before my period would be due. I severely broke out with my acne and the normal monthly procedure (increased apetite, increased desire to exercise, bloating, etc.)except for the period. This is what's been going on lately: my boyfriend/fiance just moved farther away making it difficult to see each other as often as we used to, I'm going for surgery in two weeks, I had to get tests done prior to surgery requiring numerous needles and I am absolutely phobic of needles (the nurse had to give me several breaks and almost called off the rest of the appointment because I thought I was going to vomit or pass out), the move of my bf has caused tension between us and it seems like we've been arguing a lot more, and I've been arguing with my mom a lot (plus my bf wants me to tell her we are engaged but she really hates him and am afraid of even more stress and tension between us). I know it seems obvious stress is probably the cause but I still worry about being pregnant. I haven't done much sexually lately, and might have only been in contact with sperm once a few weeks back(I know once is all it takes). But I am very consistent with pills and why would I have period symptoms? I apologize for being paranoid I just want reassurance so I can try to relax before surgery.
Thank you.

" There are several reasons that may cause missed or light periods. The best thing to do is to see a doctor to make sure that it isn't anything physical.
I missed my period for 2 1/2 years. I haven't had kids yet (I was in my 20's). I was lactating but not pregnant. I went through extensive tests ranging from MRI's, CAT scans, hormone tests, sugar tests etc..
It turned out that I had a tumor in my pituitary gland and pills didn't shrink it so I wound up having it removed.
Stress can also be a factor so it's wise to just check it out to be on the safe side. If you are pregnant and still on BC pills it could do some damage so it's important to rule out that possibility first. "

" I think that it's better to take a pregnancy test to ensure that you're not pregnant especially since you're about to have surgery. The doctors need to know whether or not you're pregnant b/c it'll effect how the surgery is performed and if it's performed at all. Goodluck!!! "
