All I know is that if I am all of a sudden not interested that is a problem for me, since I am usually interested.
But, I know what you mean. If you have never been interested, that just might be "you", KWIM? It doesn't always mean that there is something wrong.
But if someone has always had a strong interest and then all of a sudden it is gone, then something must be going on either emotionally or physically.

thanks, I had lots of interest as a teen and young adult, but I blame that on 1- believing what the media defined as being exceptable as a woman and 2- natural desire due to age

tahnks again for the comment, I think i may be finding my norm, I think now that I have discovered some truths about self and others, I may be able to find my way back to sexy, and feeling sexy, and having desires without guilt or feeling like I don't deserve that kind of happiness,

I do think the media affects what we think should be normal. There really is no normal.
I've always had a strong sex drive but I didn't have partners for long periods. My desire has increased with age. I currently have vulvadynia...my boyfriend and I are unable to have intercourse most of the time... it's just too uncomfortable for me...it's not worth it.
And I regret the discomfort it causes me during and afterwards each time.
I wish I could... out of the few times we have had intercourse I've only had one pain free experience. We have tons of foreplay, use lubes which don't irritate me.. egg whites.. and nothing helps... it's very frustrating for me... he isn't as bothered by it as I am because he has pretty much lost his sex drive due to antidepressants.
We are still very physical/ cuddly etc. I love the sexual connection..
I need that a lot but it seems I"m doomed not to have it. completely.

My bladder or uretha gets very irritated after sex, and I feel tremendous urgency which is largely to blame for my total lack of interest

I also have bladder issues and I totally understand how you feel... my urethra has been in an almost constant state of irritation since last June.... diet some meds and drinking tons of water, changing my wardrobe (wear only dresses/skirts now with no panties) has helped a great deal but has not elimated the problem by any means.
Intercourse and even oral sex all aggravate it. :-(

I have heard if you take an antibiotic before or after sex this can help... although I haven't tried it... I have tried taking pain killers and anithistamines after which has helped... I should probably take them before intercourse.

I'm sure you all already know this, but once your doctor has confirmed that there is no yeast or bacterial infection, it's very important to wash both directly before and directly after having sex...
