I don't think I know what I am doing

Hi,
I am coming from a place of combined problems. I was sexually assaulted and I have chronic pelvic pain which includes pain during sex.

I don't feel sexual and all my experience is painful. I have been married for 12 years. My husband knows, but he thinks I should just get over it. I don't know how to please him and I am afraid to lose him.

I feel like he wants something from me and I don't know what it is. I want to be intimate with him, but I don't know how. Is there anyone out there with some thoughts?

" At the risk of sounding churchy, I want to share this link to a book I have that is AMAZING. It talks about sexual healing and many other feminine sexual details. Hope this helps or at least encourages. :)

also check out the "about the ministry" link. :) I so pray that both of you can know inward healing especially, that you can know such ecstasy with your husbands, that YOU can know it, that all inward pain would be gone from your mind as you enjoy your husbands, that sex would become so beautiful and full of light, instead of dark and full of horrible memories. Heal them Lord. "

" I also hope and pray for your physical healing and that your husbands would have fresh sensitivity to you both and fresh gentleness with you. Lord, please give that to them. Patience and understanding to these men. Open up communication between them to talk about it, for renewed respect of each others' bodies and what they can do about it and how they can love each other in different ways, and love each other by doing what is most comfortable and least harmful/painful to the other. Open them up to You. "

" I was sexually assulted when I was younger and pressured from my husband repeatedly. I found that some of this was mental..really, I am not joking. While I was with my husband I would literally hurt myself (bite my arm or pinch my leg) for his satisfaction as he felt it was my duty, this way I could take away from the physical pain i was experienceing. I had not experienced the physical pain from another partner so I was a little confused. I went to thereipist after therepist and for w while that worked. Since moving on with my life a year ago I have had no physical pain. i am by no means suggesting that you find another partner but 2 steps you should really check into is a thereipist for dealing with the assult as well as a sex therepist...I would also talk to a DR. to make sure there isn't something else going on...some kinds of cancers can also cause pelvic pain. Don't mean to scare you either but check all your bases. Have those hubbys check into something as well if they no what is going on and are passing it off as your problem there may be other issue there "

" I feel like I stepped out on my own discussion. I went into the hospital for week because of the pain. I also ended up having surgery last Wednesday. I am trying to recover so participating is hard, but I am reading. "
