okays.... i have a few questions. what can i do to lower the chances of a UTI after sex?
i make a point to use the bathroom after sex. And i know about cranberry juice. and avoiding sugars/alcohol. it seems like some positions more then others cause UTI's. has anyone else noticed this? i also notice it more with the use of condoms. i think i might be developing an allergy to them. i honestly thought MAYBE my partner was a lil too well endowed at the time and this caused the start of them. But now i have a different partner and it almost feels like i will have a UTI again. this is really disturbing. any thoughts? did this ever happen to you? Posted on 07/21/08, 10:07 am |

I have a huge problem with this. So big that I have a script of Macrobid on hand to take one pill after sex.
So if I have sex, I take one dose. I also make sure to wash, and pee before AND after. It really helps. I have one now, but I don't get them often at all since I have been taking the dose after sex. I have been told that I have "Honeymooners Syndrome"

Try taking some Azo afterwards too, and drink lots of fluids. I was getting so many UTIs they did an ultrasound of my kidneys.

is azo for yeast infections? cuz i don't have any itching. i'm gonna go check it out. i also started eating lots of yogurt with live cultures, i hear thats good.
i think i'll be switching to non-latex condoms. though the other kind sound kinda gross! i googled honeymooners syndrome thanx for all the advice guys!
