fatty liver?

I have slight ankle swelling and pain/discomfort in the liver region.

Keep thinking it's something worse, but the tests don't suggest it.

" I got fatty liver from alcohol and it has been 2+ years since I drank and I still have. Supposedly it can take years to resolve, but this seems excessive. I eat a relatively low-fat diet, no real fried foods, etc. "

" My understanding is that alcohol has nothing to do with your condition. It may have agrevated it and caused a sharper decline in you liver breaking down. Fatty Liver is a complicated disease. I have found alot of information on WebMD and other sights. Has your doctor performed biopsies and catagorized you condition? I am in stage 4 which is the last stage before failure. My enzym levels are low but that only shows that the liver has gone out. Talk with your doctor and get a blood workup and CT scan.
Information will help you know how to take care of yourself. "

I don't know what you're talking about? Fatty Liver is absolutely caused by alcohol. That was mine. I have ultrasound confirm.

My question is more of complications as I haven't drank in 2 years and still seem to have it. "
