Hi Everyone,

A very good friend of mine is dying from Tongue Cancer. They transferred him to hospice last week and Im very sad. Im also angry that Cancer exists. Ive started to research alternative treatments because there must be ways to prevent such a horrific disease to occur. He never smoked and never drank. It is frustrating seeing someone I love suffer like this.

" Thank You for sharing. I agree that cancer is a horrible disease. It is OK to be angry. I have pancreatic cancer myself. I have been on hospice. I happen to be a registered nurse. I and my wife get angry too. It is difficult to see someone suffer-especially someone you care about.
I encourage you to share your feelings with others. Get support from your family and friends.
We do not know what causes there are for cancer. In my case, I did not smoke or drink either. But in some cancers there is no known cause.
Share your feelings with others. Let your friend know you care. Be there for your friend.
Thanks for sharing.

" I also share your frustration with cancer. I hate it. My Dad has stage 4 lung cancer and is not expected to make it to next winter. He did smoke and brought it on himself, but to me it makes no difference. No one should have to suffer this way. I lost my beloved Grandfather to bone cancer almost 13 years ago and stil miss him daily. I will never forgive cancer for taking these two wonderful men from me.

I wish I had answers for you. I dont, but I can understand your feelings and I know that having someone understand me has been truly helpful as I battle my issues with loosing my Daddy.

Good luck to you in your battle. He is lucky to have a freind who loves him so much, it breaks my heart to see those in the chemo rooms all alone.

Love is powerful. Take care. "
