I've survived a month!
It has been exactly one month since my husband was taken away to begin his sentence. I look back at the days crossed …

Today's visit was hard. My husband told me that he had a bad dream that I would not be able to find a place for us to live when he gets out of jail, and that he couldn't be with me because of it. He couldn't really stop crying today because he said he missed me so much. This of course made me cry, so when they called the end of the visiting hour, we were both in tears. It hurts me to see him so upset.
We both know we should stay positive...even his cell mates are trying to keep him up. My husband is so fortunate because he is getting released in four months; most of the men he's in with are still going through court, or are waiting to be transferred to prison. God has been merciful to us every step of the way...from bailing him out of jail when he was first arrested, to the sentence itself...and I know that He will continue to be. God did not turn his back on us then, and he will not do it now. God has us in his hands; we will find somewhere to live, we will get through this. I know it. I am living by this quote that I read (and that I shared with someone else on another post): faith is not simply believing that God can, it is knowing that He will. I have faith. But sometimes, it is so hard to see the end of the tunnel when your eyes are clouded with tears. Please continue to pray for us...especially for my husband...that God would continue to renew our strength and faith each day until we are finally back together. Posted on 07/07/08, 09:07 pm |

Visits can be very difficult sometimes, even if you are trying to stay positive. But you don't have too much longer left to wait, and I'm sure you will have no problem finding a place to live. You have faith, and that is the most important thing to have. Hang in there...
