I feel so grateful for the Families of Prisoner's support group. Without it, I would be lost.
Even our friends close by cannot understand what we go through, only the people on here do.
I feel grateful that we can vent, discuss, get advice, give advice, and just have fun with each other at times.
It is so nice when you all notice if I haven't been on for a few days, and send hugs, and messages.
We have very many special friends we have met on here. We may not even know what each other looks like, may never meet, we are various ages, but we have so much in common.
We know the pain, and sadness of missing our sons, brothers, husbands or boyfriends, more than our friends we have known all our lives do.
We cheer each other up, console each other, and encourage each other.
Aren't these the true definitions of what friends are.?
I wish I could meet each and every one of you, and give you a hug. You hug my heart every day. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Wendee

Ditto Wendee, I feel the same way about you and the others. Some of my best friends are the people on this site, and there's nothing I wouldn't do for any of you if I could.

I will ditto that also. I am still fairly new here, but have been apart of support sites for awhile. I don't think I could make it without somewhere like this. when I have a bad day... it's not my friends that I am ready to call... it's here that I feel I need to come.

i also feel like i can always share how i am feeling with you guys. the fact that i know that you will support me and will not be judgmental is encouraging, and warming. it is rare to find a friend who will listen without judging, and care without limits. thank u all. great post, nowheregirl.

DITTO! even though I am VERY new to this situation & this support group, I feel very greatful & lucky to have stumbled upon it. I wasn't even looking. Someone, somwhere must have known I needed the help and encouragement. Thank you all for all of the advice, kind words, and help. :)

I found DS by accident, at a time I was pretty down. Not even a therapist could understand like people who are actually going through it. Therapists ask"How do you feel....?" People on here know how we feel. That makes a big difference. I would rather take advice from you than a person who just really has no idea, but they read books to counsel us.DS is like a healthy addiction. I get on here first thing in the morning, and several times a day. I have sent copies of stuff I have got off here to my son, and boyfriend also. I want them to see other people do relate, and understand. Sometimes it helps them too.

this site was a live saver to me i was very cut off from everyone and everything when a freind told me about this site she is with other groubes . but i can come here vent yell cry and alwas someone to share with so thanks to all of yall

redneckangel commented she had cut herself off from everyone til she found DS, that is very true. It is easier to stay away from our friends that judge, than to find something to talk to them about without getting angry or hurt. On here we all have similar situations, and feelings, and this is the place to be for support, and encouragement.

This site is the best ever and everyone on here is so supportive and understanding and i don't know what i'd do without DS. I've made lots of friends who are in the same position as me and understand what I'm going through and I'm so grateful. I also found this site by accident and so very glad that I did.

When I look at my list of friends on here I now see some really important people to me. We wouldn't recognize each other if we saw one another on the street, but we know each other's thoughts we don't share with our "other" friends. We depend on each other for alot of emotional security. The uniqueness of this is worth so much.
