can you guys help me to understand why i feel so guilty and horrible??
i've witness my best friend take his life, it was horrible an it scared me and i was taken to hospital because i could not calm down and that. i stayed in hospital sedated due to it but i keep thinking its my fault, i could of stopped him, he was with me an i was in reach but i never stopped an...i dont know what to do anymore i really dont know. i dont know how to cope with all of these feelings, its like being punched in the face over and over again. i feel so lost. it scares me to think were my mind keeps wondering. an before you ask yes i am seeing a councellor but i cant really talk to them, they dont understand. lov ya lots Posted on 05/13/08, 04:05 am |

If you can't talk to your councelor about this or feel they don't understand find a new one.
You didn't kill your friend. He did it to himself. Remember that.

I am so sorry for your loss. But you did not kill your friend, they killed themselves, I couldn't stop my brother, grandmother or ex husband, it is the choice they make, they are wrestling with demons, Please take care of yourself.

I know how you feel. I felt that way when my cousin did it. After many thousands of dollars of therapy I came to the conclusion that he was sick. When you get that sick unless you get help then there is nothing anyone can do. The problem now is that Why didn't we know he was so sick. I mean nobody figured it out. I guess I will have to figure it out. Maybe then I will finally find some peace about it all. Hugs Cheryl

Everybody's right here. And get a different counselor. The right one will be really good for you. Don't waste your time with one you don't feel like you can talk to.
