" No...you aren't crazy! I have seen that on TV and I have a little terrier that does the same thing. When I have seized at home alone I always wake to find that little guy sniffing my head like crazy and licking my face as if he is trying to wake me. Interesting....I wonder what it is about some dogs that they can tune in to things like this and others can't. My two other dogs run and hide until all is well again. I have also seen dogs on TV that can smell cancer very accurately, even before the person has been diagnosed, and they even 'point' to the right spot. "

" No, it isn't crazy at all. Dogs are actually trained to detect seizures before they happen in the medical field. They are sensitive to things like that. I have learned that when my dog is acting "silly" around me to be careful because a seizure will happen soon. "

" actually, my dog protects me when I go to have a seizure. Last summer, I had one when I was laying on a raft in the pool, and if it weren't for my dog running to my mom and barking & biting at her heels, I would have drowned, I had fallen off the raft & gone under during my seizure. Since then, when I have a seizure, she will get up close to me- snuggle up to me if she's on my lap, lay next to my chest if I'm laying down. And she will stay with me until I have completely come out of the seizure. "
