I have these moments where I know that Im going to have some sort of seizure.
I become very disorientated and dizzy, almost like veerything is in slow motion. I begin to have tingling sensation up my arms, my left arm mostly. When I lie down and get comfortable the left hand side of my face feels like its being pulled downward and everything begins very numb and stiff in my body. I start to get muscle twinges, tingling and cramping Then its like a wave of electricity or something runs through me right up to my head which makes me tense as its quite uncomfortable. I also start to see weird images and things feel as though they are moving around me. This can last up to twenty minutes at a time! After I feel dizzy,some tingling sensations and some times I have muscle aches. If it is a seizure can anyone tell me what type? Would be a great help! Hi Louise,
The symptoms you described sound very similar to the ones I experience. I think we have what are known as "complex partial seizures". I used to have the sensations last for twenty minutes or more myself until I started taking medication. Now the feelings you describe last for anywhere from 1 - 5 minutes. Erik

Same here. Complex partial seizures due to temporal lobe epilepsy. That wave feeling that you get is called an aura. Alot of us get them just before a seizure. I remember having those weird feeling and sensations. For me it was a little cartoon that kept playing over and over in my head until the seizure was gone. Crazy huh?
