" I find after a simple partial seizure it takes a while for my brain to kick in again.

I've always explained it to people that its like a computer restarting. Its almost like your brain has to reboot itself. "

" Try living in like a fog for 15 yrs, then change meds in Feb this year and things start coming back. Its good, but also scarey at same time. Before you only needed one book, one dvd as never remembered anyway. Now the past life, even before the 15 yrs, its like a book in your brain, and the pages sometimes start to trun and you sort of read them and recall things. Some good, some not. At present it isnt easy living with. But now have some more books and dvd's. And husband cant just tell me what ever anymore and I wouldnt know otherwise. That has been a bit of a shock to him too. Good side, getting a small job round the place done now is quite easy!! "

" Thanks for sharing. I experience something similar where everything feels new and fresh. It can be both confusing and exciting. I get a flood of mixed emotions which are sometimes very intense. Others around me think I am still in danger but I've learned to consider it another part of my post-seizure experiences. "

" no biggy. Your brains just get scrambled around. Takes awhile to fall back in place. Sometimes, i don't even remember if I am male or female or how old I am. One time I came to and my daughter was crying, I asked her name and told her I had a daughter with the same name. I don't remember this she told me.
No worries, as long as you go back to normal No worries. My stuttering can last weeks after a seizure. but eventually I go back to normal. "

" I almost always cry either before or after a seizure. It's like the world is getting screwed up or straightened up (either way). I seldom feel like I am wired up quite right. I get blinks of time when things are clear, usually shortly after a seizure. I suppose those are my happy moments. "

" I get a 'happy feeling' toward the end of the seizure, but technically still in it. It's almost euphoric-like, a dream-like state. It is only when I am coming to and wondering 'why on earth does my head hurt so badly (if I have hit it in the fall) that things start to return to normal somewhat.

I like the analogy referring to a computer rebooting. It is very much like that.

On days when I feel a bit off, I just tell people that "I am not firing on all cylinders today." "
