Severe allergies and meds

I never been alergic to anything in my entire life. But now that i moved to Texas i developed severe allergy to something either pollen or dust or that sand from the desert (or all of the above).
Im extremely tired all the time, i can't breathe, my vision is constantly blurry,i feel naseated.
So im having an apointment with my doc next week and im not sure what medication i should ask for. Last time i asked for the docs advice and got crappy meds that were making me dizzy and even more tired.
I like flonaise but its not working during the spring time. So i was wondering if anybody can suggest a medication that won't make me drowsy but at the same time would be strong enough to relief the symptoms...
I was also wondering if anybody tried Nasonex and if it actually worked (i guess id rather use a spray than take pills)

" Allegra works for me. And certain times of the year I need it worse than others.
From about August till it snows I need Allegra (but it's expensive, sadly) There are others like it that work just as great I'm sure...
I use another one....ummm name escapes me at the moment (that's not helping you right now I realize) HAHA.... I'll get back to ya on that.
And when I know it's worse I just take Allegra.
Keeping dust clean.... mold... plus I have an air filter thing here I use too.
I work in a "germ factory" so I really don't know how to get rid of it all. Let me know if you do!! HAHA

My job causes me to have to do a lot of repeatitive talking and it's affected my voice, and my allergies from the stupid air vents not getting cleaned, I have this chronic cough and crap in my throat all the time.

I don't like the nose sprays, I'm glad they work for you though.

Let me know if you find anything that's workin'! "
