adult onset eczema?

How many people here have been diagnosed with eczema as an adult?
I read that it is very rare for someone that has never had any skin problems and doesn't have sensitive skin to have eczema.
I also read that it is rare for anyone to get it in the groin region.
My skin never reacts to cold, heat, dryness or most of the harsh chemicals that affect most people but somehow I get chronic eczema.
My rash doesn't seem to fit any definition of eczema other then the fact that it's red.
How can I test to see if it actually is eczema?

" I didn't get it until I was grown, I have crohns disease and with that being a immune disorder I'm subject to get just about anything. Mine started several years ago, went away completly, now over the last two years it has driven me nuts! I have it on and around my ears, I have been to specialist, there is no cure for Eczema, I get lucky sometimes and it will go away for a few weeks, but back it comes. "

" I got eczema when around the time I turned 18. I was a very active pill popper at that time. I've always had really bad allergies, so I used that as an excuse to take 14 benadryl capsules at a time. Ever since I stopped all of that and began smoking I've developed both asthma and eczema. The doctor says mine is a severe form, but I really can't be too sure. I'm not being treated with Xolair and it seems to help. "

" I developed eczema after I turned 60. It may be rare, but I have it in the groin area It flairs up pretty much wherever it wants to. Especially on my fingers and lower legs. "
