Every time I exercise my ezcema breaks out. I think its a result of the sweat, but I could be way off. Also, every time I shower my ezcema breaks out unless I take a very cold shower. Any suggestions or ideas?

I'm the same when I exercise. When I'm in the middle of a flare up its really bad and puts me off exercising but most times i just try not to worry about it cos that just makes it worse. Drinking tons of water while training or whatever helps me..maybe its to do with the pulse being raised which in turn releases endorphins and yeah, sweat!

I havent experienced that excercise makes it flare, however when I take a shower it flares up... And I looove HOT showers so it deffinetly makes it worse. I just always put lotion on when I get out that way it doesn't dry up and that seems to help

I haven't found that exercise or sweating changes anything. After I get a hot shower my symptoms seem to go away. The redness doesn't come back until the following day. Then if it's miserable and I stay in the house all day it doesn't happen at all.

My son USED to have ezcema on his tummy, arms, legs. He only has mildly red area under chin right now. USE PRObiotics!!! Eczema is your body's problem of being unable to retain moisture in your skin. Thus, you have dry skin patches. You can use lotions which treat the symptom. If you want to treat the root causes, one which is very likely to be your skin not getting enough vitamins. Then you may want to take something like:
GNC: Digestive Health Powder(AWESOME PRODUCT). It contains prebiotics, PRObiotics and digestive enzymes that help breakdown and absorb the nutrients from your food better. All your organs improve especially the largest one that takes more vitamins... YOUR SKIN. Take a product like this for about a week. You may be VERY surprised at the improvement. Note you should be taking a multivitamin and fish oil along with a good diet that includes fruits, veggies, lean meat, long grains and water. Oh yeah, take warm.. not hot showers since the heat pulls more moisture out of the skin. Probiotics helped clear up about 80% of my kid's eczema in less than a week. I had to do the research to find this information since all the doctors only suggested lotion that did NOT clear up the problem. See your doctor to find out if probiotics can help you. Please let me know if this worked for you. My source: Skin health, eczema, and preventative strategies: Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients. May, 2003 by Chris D. Meletis, Jason Barker http://www.eczemamembers.com/clubportal/... Bacteria and Eczema: Eczema is an Immune System Disorder (atopy), and 75% of your Immune System is found in your Gastrointestinal Tract where 3 to 4 pounds of bacteria reside.

Same here. I have to exercise with a fan on me to evaporate the sweat. Sweat really makes my skin go crazy.
Also if I wash with unadulterated tapwater my skin goes mad. I have to mix in some emollient or oats.

I think there are a lot of different factors involved in exercising, heat being the main one. What exercise do you like? You could choose something low impact and low intensity that keeps the heat down. You could work some serious weights and being nicely fit and toned without the heat of a cardiovascular session. Got to work that core though so I'd do yoga or pilates if I were you. This probably seems a bit of a girly exercise but I guarantee you'll feel every second of it!!
I find water type can iritate my skin - hard water especially. It costs an arm and a leg to fit a water softening in your home and if I won the lottery I'd get one. Maybe a bath would be better for you with some lovely oilatum in it, which soothes and moisturises, followed by a cool rinse in the shower. I think what you eat can also change the quality of your sweat. For example spicy food can make my sweat really irritating and my arm pits flare up. Lots of things to look at though and if you love sport and fitness you may need to jiggle your work out about a bit to keep the sweat and heat down, there's more than one way to get in tip top condition.

exercise makes me feel good. The sweat irritates patches that are already broken out, but if I'm not broken out, I'm all right. I'm really irritated and uncomfortable though if I've sweat a lot and then the sweat evaporates and I an mot able to shower. It's a horrible combination of the sweat and dirt I think and it drives my skin nuts.
